The Terryville Public Library has improved our website to make it easier for you to find and use Library resources. The Library is grateful for the generous support of Main Street Community Foundation. The website was last redesigned in 2008. In 2019, they were awarded a $5,000 grant from the Bristol Brass General Grant Fund and the Betts Family Fund at the Main Street Community Foundation to support our website redesign project.
The Library conducted a focus group in Fall 2019 to ensure the new site would meet the public’s needs and expectations. The Library talked with users and non-users of the Library. Most identified the need to improve access to library and community information, digital resources and media.
The new site provides better access to the Library’s collection of books and materials, programming and services for all ages, as well as librarian assistance. “The new site was designed to be flexible, intuitive and continue to evolve as patron needs change,” said Gretchen DelCegno, Terryville Library Director, which coordinated the project. She added that the new site works well with mobile devices, a feature that patrons have been asking for.
