Code Your Own Video Game with MakeCode Academy

An event every day that begins at 3:30 pm, repeating until June 10, 2020

In this virtual two-day workshop series, participants (tweens/teens ages 9+) will use block-based coding to create a video game with MakeCode Arcade during one-hour sessions. Learn fundamental game and coding concepts like sprites, variables, and coordinates, and use these new skills to create and customize a playable game.

By the end of the two-day workshop, participants will have:
· Learned and used key game design and coding concepts
· Coded a playable game
· Published their game via a URL so they can continue to play and develop it after the camp

Session 1: June 9, 2020 from 3:30-4:30pm
Session 2: June 10, 2020 from 3:30-4:30pm

Parents are asked to register as the primary attendee (you must certify that you are 13 years of age or older), then add children as additional attendees.
