Internet Basics: Lesson 7, Internet Privacy
March 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Students will learn how to navigate an internet browser, learn how to formulate search terms to produce a successful result, and differentiate between safe websites and those with possible malware or viruses. Classes will be held twice a week for 4 and a half weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3:15pm. You may attend all classes or individual classes based on the content being covered.
Today’s lesson focuses on:
- Demonstrating understanding of how to use browser tools and settings to protect privacy (e.g. private browser windows, clearing search history, and declining to save passwords on shared computers)
- Demonstrating understanding of when it’s safe and appropriate to share personal, private, or financial information (e.g. recognizing phishing attempts, identifying unsecured websites)
