POSTPONED – Making Your Windows Safer for Wild Birds

October 7, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN POSTPONED.  A NEW DATE WILL BE SELECTED IN EARLY 2022.

The mission of Litchfield Hills Audubon Society (LHAS) is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats. Window collisions are one of the leading direct human causes of bird mortality. In this 45 minute presentation they will raise awareness and offer simple solutions to make our living environment safer for our feathered friends.

Vickie Dauphinais, Litchfield Hills Audubon Society Director, will discuss the deadly threat birds face in our own backyards and explain how widespread the problem is. She will review what can be done to mitigate the problem, including easy, economical approaches that can be used on our homes, and places of business.

This program will be held in-person at the Library.
