Touch a Truck (All ages, with a caregiver)

Join us in the overflow parking lot of the library (off of Prospect Street) for a visit from the Plymouth Public Works department and a variety of their vehicles! Participants will be able to get close to and see different vehicles like a loader, street sweeper, roadside mower and possibly more. You will also have the chance to create a construction hat craft. This event is for all ages, with a caregiver.

This event will cancel in inclement weather. The raindate is Friday, July 15 at 10:30am.

Join us for stories, songs and a craft to take home. This is an in-person, outdoor event.  Meet in the overflow parking lot behind the Terryville Library. Adults and youth over the age of 2 are required to wear masks at all Teen, Children’s and all ages programs. Storytime is for ages birth to 6 years, with a caregiver.

A Tale of Two Cemeteries

“A Tale of Two Cemeteries” Lantern Tour of Downtown Terryville starts at 6:30PM.

“Unsolved mysteries and little known history”.

Meet at the Lock Museum of America, 230 Main Street, Terryville (parking available at the library across the street).

$15 for adults, $5 for kids under 18 years (cash only), includes the Old Terryville Cemetery, Hillside Cemetery, and a tour of the Lock Museum after the walk.

Halloween Storytime

Pumpkin Decorating

Decorate a pumpkin just in time for Halloween! Ages 4-12 Masks are required for anyone over the age of 2.

Registration is required. There are two timeslots available. Sign up for one of the two, not both.

Morning Tree Walk

During this tree walk, forester Jerry Milne guides participants in a relaxing walk, sharing in-depth information and fun facts about the wide variety of tree species growing in downtown Terryville.  This tree walk is a wonderful opportunity to spend time outdoors in Terryville’s Downtown Arboretum and learn a bit more about the incredible biodiversity of our local greenspaces – including a couple of State Champions (e.g. the biggest of their species in Connecticut).

We will meet behind the Library near the Book Return.  For your own comfort, consider wearing layers and comfortable shoes.

In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be cancelled.
